Admiral Thad Allen to Discuss Leadership in a Crisis at the Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership

WHAT:

Admiral Thad Allen, retired Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard and 2011 Johnson Institute Exemplary Leadership Award Recipient, will give the presentation "Leadership in a Crisis." Adm. Allen led recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina and served at the request of President Obama as the national incident commander of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He is widely credited for his leadership during those crises and, more generally, throughout a distinguished career in public service. The Honorable Richard Thornburgh will give the response.
