Adm. Thad Allen to Speak on 'Managing The Unexpected' at RAND Forum

WHAT:

Few are as experienced at managing the unexpected as former Adm. Thad Allen, who commanded the U.S. Coast Guard's Atlantic forces in their response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. In the months prior to his retirement from the Coast Guard in June 2010, he served as the National Incident Commander for the federal governments' response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Allen will speak on "Managing the Unexpected" at the next Issues in Focus program at the RAND Corporation.
